Henry Braziel, Jr,

Henry Braziel, Jr.  was born May 24, 1941 in Candler County, Georgia, to the late Henry and Ernestine Braziel. He departed this life Friday, September 22, 2017.

At an early age he joined Lakeside First Baptist Church in Metter, GA.  He attended the public school system of Candler County. Henry was a diligent worker who had various jobs. During his early adult life, he moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut where he lived for many years. He worked as a butcher at a meat market, and he also helped his Uncle Bobby finish hardwood floors.

Henry was never married however, from his union with Agnes Wells, six children were born. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Artis Braziel, Bobby Braziel, and Tom Braziel, and one sister, Rosetta Lanier.

He leaves to cherish his memories, four sons, Henry (Cuba) Braziel, Kentucky;  Bobby Braziel, Juan (Pamela) Braziel, Charles(Shemeka) Braziel,  Metter, GA.; two daughters, Karen (Donald) Sherrod, Conyers, GA;  Kala (Roberto) Braziel, Charleston, SC; and two daughters from Connecticut; one brother, James Otis (Climie Sue) Braziel, Bridgeport, CT; one sister, Annie Joe Melvin, Bridgeport CT;  two sisters-in-law, Lena Braziel, Metter, GA, and Essie Braziel, Charleston, SC; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
