Willie Milton Favors

Willie Milton Favors passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, September 25, 2023 at Azalea Health & Rehabilitation Center. Favor, as he was so affectionately called, blessed everyone he met for 88 years. He came to Metter in the spring of 1984, went to work at Jay’s Fuel Stop for Jay and Vicki Bowen and worked at Jay’s as the Maintenance Supervisor for 37 years. In those 37 years, Favor brightened the lives of everyone that came up in Jay’s parking lot. He met so many interesting people and became dear friends with all Jay & Vicki’s friends and families. He was loved by so many people.

That same year, 1984, Favor met his soulmate, Lucille Jackson. They shared a glorious 37 years. He was a faithful member of The Place of Grace Ministry, where he was ordained as an elder. Favor loved to sing and worship his Lord.

He is preceded in death by Jay Bowen, Brenda Olliff and Lucille Jackson.

He is survived by friends that were more like family: Vicki Bowen, Jenny, Stephen, Warren, and Bowen-Anne Brantley, and Belle-Anne, Craig and Jackson Cooper;  a bonus son, Curtis (Kathy) Sims of Tifton, GA; a bonus daughter, Angela Pittman of Tifton, GA, two bonus granddaughters, Felecia Sims and Nicole Pittman both of Tifton, GA; two bonus great-grandchildren, Janya Sims of Atlanta, GA and Corderra Grier, Jr. of Tifton, GA; bonus sisters and brother-in-law, Carolyn (William) Rock and Emma (Kelly) Vann all Collins, GA.

Public Viewing will be Friday, September 29, 2023, 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the W. H. Whitaker Memorial Chapel,  Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow in the Lake Cemetery.
