Willie Byrd Obituary
Willie Carl Byrd was born in Metter, Georgia on October 29, 1957 to Aleane Byrd and Sammie Spann, Jr.. Carl attended the public schools of Candler County and resided most of his life in Metter.
Carl was an avid reader and he enjoyed a daily walk in the woods, near his home. For many years he was employed at the Claxton Poultry Plant.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by one sister, Cathy Spann of Metter, Georgia; one uncle, William T. Dekle of Metter, Georgia; one aunt, Magaline Spann of Reidsville, Georgia; one nephew, Tyranski Spann, Sr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia; two nieces, Shaveka Spann of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Kaneisha Spann of Metter, Georgia; several other relatives and friends.
