Willie James Byrd

Willie James Byrd was born January 4, 1956 in Metter, Georgia. He was the loving son of Andy and Eubie Byrd. 
Willie James, also known as Sugar Boy, attended the public schools of Candler County, Georgia.

On January 28, 1994 he married the former Riller Cheley. 
 

He was employed by Norfolk Dredging Company. Sugar Boy enjoyed fishing and cooking on the grill. He also loved spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Eubie Byrd and one brother, Leroy Butler. 
 

He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing: his wife, Riller Byrd; three sons, Laquan Byrd (Toratia), Deion Byrd and Alfonzo Knight; three daughters, Kaprisa Byrd, Keyona Byrd and Laciondra Byrd; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
