William Houston, Jr.

Mr. William Houston Jr. was born February 17, 1944 in Metter, Ga., to the late William T. Houston Sr. and Mrs. Susie Mae Campbell-Houston.  He departed life Thursday, March 2, 2017 in Piedmont Hospital Fayetteville, Georgia.

William affectionately known as “Junior and Uncle Junior” moved to Jacksonville, Florida along with his parents.  He attended the public schools of Duval County, FL and completed high school there.  William was employed as a laborer until his retirement. He later moved to Hampton, Georgia where he resided with his sister, Willie L. Gibson. William's favorite hobby was listening to instrumental Jazz, Salsa Music, and watching old TV reruns of every cowboy show.  William was also a compassionate supporter of his family, always willing to help out when there was a need.

‘Uncle Junior” enjoyed eating his food which consisted of homemade cake first, everything else second.  This brought a smile to his face every time.William Houston Jr. is survived by his beloved sister, Willie L. Gibson, and brother-in-law, John W. Gibson. William leaves to cherish precious and fun loving memories, his beloved Nephew, Gregory Gibson Sr. of Lanett, Alabama and Van Don Williams (In-Law).
