William Clay

Mr. William Clay was born on May 19, 1938 to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Clay and Annie Mae Clay in Burke, Georgia. He entered into eternal rest on April 11, 2015 at Community Area Hospice, Vidalia, Georgia.

He was a lifelong resident of Candler County. Clay attended the Burke County Public School. At an early age, he learned of Christ and was baptized at Eden Baptist Church, Louisville, Georgia.

He was united to Eubie Evan, who precedes him in death.  

William leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted friend, Vanessa Mincey, Metter, Georgia; three brothers, King S. (Idrena) Clay of Metter, Georgia, Charles (Pearl) Clay of Titusville, Florida and Sylvester Clay of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four sisters, Mary Wimbly, Josephine Duval, Mary Pearl Coleman all of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Leoma Richardson of Titusville, Florida; three aunts, Josephine Patterson of Deerfield, Florida, Rose Boyd and Julia Cheatham both of Louisville, Georgia; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and one best friend, Jim Dixon of Metter, Georgia.
