Wilbert Kennedy was born November 26, 1927 in Cobbtown, Georgia to Marshton and Mamie Tillman Kennedy. He attended the public schools of Tattnall County, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was married to the former Mary Lou Palmer. He resided in Florida for many years, where he worked as a truck driver. He retired from United Food Company and The Long Life Dairy Company. Wilbert was considered to be a “shade tree mechanic”. He took great pleasure in repairing cars and lawnmowers.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Doretha Kennedy, five brothers and seven sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing: six children, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, two sons-in-law, two sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
