Mr. Vann Ellis Eason was born October 4, 1947 in Cobbtown, Georgia to the late Ben and Rebecca Singleton Eason. He entered eternal rest on Monday, December 11, 2023.
His early childhood education begin at the Steep Hill School and he went on to attend the Candler County Training School. He was self-employed and hired farm laborers for various farms in the area. For several years he was employed at Whitaker Funeral Home.
Vann married Betty Andrews on April 11, 1972, to this union eight children was born. He lived in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and Alexandria, Louisiana before returning home to Metter, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty; one daughter, Lawanda Eason, one grandchild, Brittany Eason, three brothers and six sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory seven daughters, Sharon Andrews, Vickie Smith, Debra Harden, Betty Gail Brunson, Teresa Niang, Julianne Eason-Grinstead, and Sonya Eason; one son, Vann Eason, Jr.; one brother, Wilbert (Catherine) Eason; one sister, Carrie Bell Edwards; twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren; special friends, Kevin Parrish, Ronald Parrish, Lester Wadley, Isaac Coney, and Jimmy Ray Brown, and a host of other relatives.
