Toni Yvonne (Coney) Johnson

 Toni Coney Johnson, 58, passed away, peacefully, Friday, February 23, 2024, at her residence in Metter.  She was the daughter  of Theron and Elouise Coney.  Toni attended the public schools of Candler County and she was a member  of Metter High School class of 1983.

     At an early age, Toni became a Christian and a disciple of Jesus Christ.  She was a faithful member of Beth Eden Baptist Church in Savannah.  Toni was an exceptional chef.  She established and operated her own catering company, TJohn’s Catering.  She was a mentor to many and an encourager to everyone she met.  She showered her family and friends with love, wisdom and delicious home cooked meals.

     Toni was preceded in death by her  parents; her step-father, Dewey Donaldson; a sister, Brenda Coney and a brother, Bobby Jean Johnson.

     She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Anthony Johnson of Metter; one daughter, Ashley Shubert of Metter; one son, Willie Shubert (Yasmin) of Tampa, FL; one daughter-like niece, Krystal Coney of Palm Bay, FL; three sisters, Daisy Brown (Warren) of Dublin; Stephanie Branch (Ivan) of Hiram and LaVern Johnson of Metter; two brothers, Dewie Donaldson (Ratoya) of Ocala, FL and Calvin Walker (Irene) of Metter; a god-daughter, Tonika McNeil ; five grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
