Thomas Dekle

Thomas Dekle was born in Candler County, Georgia on August 7, 1932 to the late Mr. Simon and Mrs. Ella Mae Dekle. He passed on to eternal rest on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was of the Baptist faith.

Thomas received his education in the Candler County public school system. Later, Thomas joined the Air Force at Fort Bragg, NC. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Pearlene Dekle on October 22, 1960. From this union he had five children and two step daughters.

Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Pearlene Dekle, one son, Anthony Dekle, one brother, Raymond Dekle, and four sisters, Hattie Whitaker, Thelma Shipman, Emma Wilson and Addie Mae Phillips.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, Thomes E. Dekle, Miami, FL and Bruce Dekle and Alexander (Gloria) Dekle, both of Statesboro, GA; three daughter, Marthann Lawton, Atlanta, GA, Brenda (William) Blue, Hephzibah, GA and Thelma (Emmanuel) Ramsey, Statesboro, GA; two brothers, Jim (Arcie) Dekle, Atlanta, GA and Henry Dekle, Augusta, GA; grandchildren, DeAndria (Anthony) Copeland, Jonesboro, GA; Judas (Sheree) Dekle, Fort Polk, LA; Tiffany Walker, Detroit, MI; Ronnie Lawton, Dewon Lawton and Michael Hartman, all of Atlanta, GA; Lataya Dekle, Lakaya Dekle and Alexander Dekle, Jr., Anthony Fulmer, Antonio Mincey and Taylor Ramsey, all of Statesboro, GA; Brittany Dekle, Detriot, MI; twenty-four great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
