Shalonda Ju-lan Smith

Shalonda J. Smith was born October 4, 1982 in Bulloch County, Georgia. She is the loving daughter of Yvonne and Stephanos Woods, Pineland, South Carolina and Tommy C. Smith, Metter, Georgia. She entered into her heavenly rest on July 19, 2015.

Shalonda, affectionately known to many as “Shae”, is a graduate of Jasper County High School, Pineland, South Carolina. She attended Morris College in Sumter, South Carolina pursuing a degree in Business Administration. Shalonda enjoyed spending quality time with her family and participating in her daughters’, niece’s and nephew’s curricular school activities. 

Shalonda is preceded in rest by her loving grandmothers, Geraldine K. Troupe and Bonnie L. Gilchrest.

Shalonda precious memories will forever be cherished by two daughters, Kiajah Dixon and Taija Dixon, her parents and caregiver, Yvonne and Stephanos Woods, Pineland, South Carolina and Tommy C. Smith, Metter, Georgia; one sister, Delicia Meridy, Savannah, Georgia; three uncles, Christopher (Ijanka) Allen, Clarksville, Tennessee, Willie (Odessa) Smith and Hubert Gilchrest both of Metter, Georgia; seven aunts, Jeniver Lanier, Metter, Georgia, Betty Smith, Mississippi, Theresa King, Cobbtown, Georgia, Bernadette (Stanley) Copeland, Lanett, Alabama, Pamela Fields, Sedatrious Carsco and Veronica Urquilla all of Baltimore, Maryland; two nieces and one nephew that she considered her children, Shakirra Meridy, Charleston, South Carolina, Liakiasha McKeever, Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Lawrence McKeever, Eastover, South Carolina; a host of loving cousins and a special friend, Demetrius West, Ridgeland, South Carolina.
