Samuel Jordan, affectionately called “Georgia Boy”, was born April 6, 1940, to the late Irvin and Annie Bell Jordan. On Saturday evening, September 25, 2021, the Lord called him home.
He attended the public schools of Candler County, Georgia. After graduating from high school, he moved to Miami Florida. At an early age, he joined First Holiness Church, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. IN 2010, he later joined Elm Street Church of God, where he was a faithful member in Statesboro, Georgia.
Samuel was married to Leona Delions Jordan for forty-five years.
Samuel was a construction worker and scaffold worker for many years, until his health began to fail.
Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Annie Bell Jordan; a daughter, Sherrie Jean Jordan; two brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Jordan, Statesboro, GA; two sons, Paul Jordan, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Channing Jordan, California; one stepson, Henry (Salanda) Smith, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three daughters, Sandra Kay (Derriel) Futch, Collins, GA, Darlene (Willis) Hilbert, Vidalia, GA, and Jacqueline Jordan, Warner Robins, GA; three stepdaughters, Melinda Delions, Shirley Delions, and Julia Delions, all of Florida; two brothers, Al (Elaine) Jordan, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, King Andrew (Mary) Hendrix, Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Joyce (Gene) Walker, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Mary Hendrix, Atlanta, GA; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
