Rufus Devine, Jr., 65, entered into eternal rest at his residence in Statesboro on Sunday, December 30, 2018. Rufus was born February 10, 1953 in Bulloch County to Rufus and Feolia Devine. He was educated in the public schools of Bulloch County and he was of the Baptist faith.
Rufus was united in marriage to the former Lois Parker. To this union three children were born. He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents; three brothers, Louis, Daniel and U.L.; two sisters, Louise Mills and Joann Bacon.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, two daughters, Debra Devine and Stephanie Devine; one son, Rufus Devine III (Nerrica) all of Lakeland, FL.; twelve grandchildren, Shandasia, Daquawn, Dashaunt’e, Shambria, Shane, Jordan, Tatiana, Tayshawn, Rufus IV, Takeirra, Zackary and Harmony; four great grandchildren, Jaylyn, Ariana, Cory, Jr. and Carter; five sisters, Betty Devine, Bobbie J. Jackson, Elnora Lovett (Stanley Collins, Sr.) and Sara (Russell) Byrd all of Statesboro, Mamie Warner (Anthony Coaxum), Brooklyn, NY; two brothers, Steve (Michelle)Devine, Brooklyn, NY and Jimmy (Lynn) Devine , Statesboro, GA; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Mills , several other relatives and friends.
