Roy C. Willis, Jr., of Metter, Georgia entered into eternal rest, surrounded by love and family in his home of 17 years, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Norma Willis, and his son, Ross Willis.
Roy was born on January 28, 1939 at Telfair Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. He served our country in the US Navy, and later through active duty during the Vietnam War with the US Army. Returning to Savannah, he entered into law enforcement where he served in the Savannah area. Roy completed a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and two graduate degrees: Master of Criminal Justice and Master of Forensic Science. In 2005, he retired after 35 years.
Graveside service to be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, Georgia.
