Rossie Belle ("Rose") Roberson

Ms. Rossie Bell Roberson, affectionately known as "Rose", was born May 24, 1944, to Willie and Cassie Roberson in Metter, Georgia. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at  the Attalla Healthcare, Attalla, Alabama.  She attended the public schools of Tattnall County, Georgia.

She enjoyed fishing, shopping and caring for her family. Rossie was employed for several years at GE Cooperation in Gadsden, Alabama. For many years, Rossie worked for Burger King as a cook until she retired.

Along with her parents, Rossie was  preceded  in death by one sister, Mary Sue Byrd, and two grandchildren, Cassie L. Smith and Monte L. Irvin, Jr.

She leaves to cherish many memories, her faithful companion for over 40 years, James Philpot of Gadsden, Alabama; one daughter, Dianna Williams of Metter, Georgia; one son, Monte (Dothina) Irvin, Jr. of Tampa, Florida; four sisters, Teresa Roberson of Savannah, Georgia, Betty Roberson Jefferys of Providence, Rhode Island, Catherine (Reverend Frank, Jr.) of Midway, Georgia, and Barbara (Henry) Roberson-Cannon of Atlanta, Georgia; a special son-in-law, Stacey M. Smith; one brother-in-law, Harold Byrd; seven grandchildren, Ebay Williams, Shantell Smith, Akeem (Keisha) Smith, Brandi Smith, Tony Hampton, Marcus Johnson and Makayla Jennings; fourteen great-grandchildren and several nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
