Paul Jackson, Jr Obituary

Paul H. Jackson, Jr., affectionately called "Jerry" was born in New Rochelle, New York to Paul and Clora Jackson on April 6, 1959. Jerry peacefully transitioned from this life on October 26, 2019 in Montefiore Hospital, Mount Vernon, New York.

Jerry attended the public schools of Westchester County, N.Y. and graded from Mount Vernon High School. He later attended Westchester Community College. Throughout his life Jerry exhibited an excellent work ethic, he was employed by the United States Postal Service, Mount Vernon Hospital and Westchester County Corrections Facilities. From an early age Jerry enjoyed cooking and he was an avid lover of sports. As a child, he played in the Mount Vernon Little League. Jerry was competitive and enjoyed the boxing and playing basketball. 

Jerry was married to Norma Washington of the Bronx, N.Y. in 1983. To this union they were blessed with two beautiful twins, Sheena and Shawna. Jerry had a son prior to his marriage, Jamal Middleton. He was also proud to be the stepfather of Normisha Washington. Jerry loved his family and was very proud and appreciative of his children.

In 1993 Jerry was involved in a serious car accident that left him disabled until his passing. Jerry was strong and determined to know the fullness of life. Jerry's father, Paul Jackson, Sr, preceded him in death.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Clora E. Jackson, Mount Vernon, NY; one son, Jamal Middleton, Mount Vernon, NY, three daughters, Sheena Jackson, Shawna Jackson, Mount Vernon, NY, and Normisha Washington, of the Bronx, NY; three sisters, Debra Jackson Lane, Riverdale, GA, Rosalyn Wallace, New Rochelle, NY, Eleanor Jackson, Mount Vernon, NY; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four uncles, Randolph Jackson (Deotha) and Charles Jackson, both of Collins, GA, Gordon Jackson (Francis), Moreno Valley, CA; Bernice Kennedy (Martha), MountVernon, NY; three aunts, Eva Mincey, Manassas, GA, Carol Smith, Claxton, GA, and Pastor Gracie Mincey Miller, Fort Pierce, FL; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
