Mrs. Veronica Lake McCrary-Graham was born to the late Elder Howard Wesley McCrary, Sr. and Sister Bessie Mae Stanford-McCrary in Cobbtown, GA on April 24, 1945. She was the seventh of eight children born to that union. She attended the public schools of Candler County and graduated from Candler County Training School. Veronica received certification in bookkeeping and computer operations; she retired from the workforce as a licensed practical nurse.
She received the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Bishop Alma R. Walker in The Church of God M.P.G.O.T., Akron, Ohio. She was called to the ministry August, 1976. In 1980, she moved to Hollywood, FL where she attended the Church of Christ Deliverance Center until 1990.
In 1990, she relocated to Statesboro, GA and in 1991 she was installed as Pastor in Metter, GA. In 1992 she moved to Metter. In 1999 she became a pastor under Apostle Sylvia J. Toney, New Life Community Church of Truth, Inc., Indianapolis, Indiana. She held several offices in the church organization before she retired in 2012. Around 2018, under the leadership of Elder T. Holman, she helped to established Trinity Revival Worship Center, Inc. in Metter, GA
Pastor Graham was also preceded in death by her husband, James D. Graham and several siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Harold D. Graham of Metter, GA; five brothers, Jerry (Ann) McCrary of Conyers, GA, Hosea (Chandra) McCrary of Atlanta, GA, Lee McCrary of Austin, TX, James (Lillie) Parrish of Lawrenceville, GA and Nathaniel (Margaret) Parrish of Metter, GA; three sisters, Elizabeth Hubbard of Macon, GA, Lucy Brown of Metter, GA and Mattie (Curtis) Collins of Cobbtown, GA.; a Goddaughter, Veronica Newkirk ; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
