Pastor Ronnie Harden, Sr. was born April 10, 1966 in Metter, Georgia to the late Jake Harden, Sr. and Lizzie Lee Littles Harden. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 5, 2023. He attended the public schools of Candler County, Georgia and was a graduate of Metter High School, class of 1985. Pastor Harden was employed at Grinnell of Statesboro, Georgia. In his latter years, he serves as a Chaplin for Hudson Mortuary, Wadley, Georgia.
Being raised in a Christian family, Ronnie attended church regularly as a child. At an early age, he confessed faith in Christ and joined Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully. Later in life, Pastor Ronnie joined Portal Church of God, Portal, Georgia, under the leadership of Elder Early Humphries. While under Elder Humphries leadership, Pastor Harden dedicated his life to Christ and began working in ministry. Later, he joined Adabell Church of God, Register, Georgia.
In the late 1980’s, Pastor Harden acknowledged his call in the minister and became an ordained Elder in the Church of God. Pastor Harden was dedicated to working for God. He preached his first sermon as pastor of Pineola Church of God, Wadley, Georgia, on February 10, 1998 and was later installed as pastor on April 5, 1998. Being led of God, in December 2016, he organized and founded the House of Prayer Worship Ministry, Inc. in Wadley, Georgia.
Pastor Harden was a godly man who grew in the wisdom and knowledge of God. His life overflowed with the joy of the Lord. He shared the love and wisdom of God with everyone he met.
On July 8, 1987, Pastor Harden married the lovely Connie Mosley. To this blessed union, two beautiful children were born.
Along with his parents, Pastor Ronnie was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Littles, James Harden, Sr. and Jake Harden, Jr. and four sisters, Ruby Redding, Mildred Mincey, Lizzie Mae Leach, and Leola Burton.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Connie Harden; two children, Constance (Ritchie, Sr.) Lawrence and Ronnie Harden, Jr; five grandchildren, Torianna Townsend, Annalise Harden, A’drianna Harden, Ritchie Lawrence, Jr., Ronnie Harden, III; eight siblings, Lucille Steely, Mae Jackson (Charles), Margie Byrd (Jessie), Voncin Douglas, Reverend Blondie Harden - Richards (Rudolph), Pastor Tony Harden (Modestine), Pastor Rony Harden (Cynthia), Bruce Harden (Shandra); brothers-in-law, Anthony Reese, Braziel Mosley, Jr., Willie Mosley (Pam) and Earl Mosley; sisters-in-law, Delores Harden, Fayette Harden, Minister Jackie Wadley and Minister Voncele Mosley; and several nephews, nieces, cousins and many loving friends.
