Mother Nancy Newkirk was born in Metter, Georgia on April 14, 1942 to Deacon Silas, Sr. and Annie Mae Tapley Hutley . She went home to be with Jesus on March 22, 2017.
Nancy attended the public schools of Candler County, Georgia and graduated from Candler County Training School. At an early age she joined Tremount Temple Baptist Church. She married Frank Littles. To this union three children were born.
She lived in New Jersey for several years and worked at Woodbridge State School for eighteen years before retiring due to becoming disabled.
In 1980, she returned to Georgia. Upon returning she affiliated herself again with Tremount Temple Baptist Church. She married Grady Newkirk in 1992. In 1999 she moved her church membership from Tremount Temple to Spirit Filled Baptist Church in Statesboro, Georgia. She attended and served there faithfully until her health failed.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grady Newkirk; one son, Wayne Littles; two sisters, Liz Davis and Hazel McCollum.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, one son, Frank Z. Littles, Jonesboro, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Pastor Deborah and Apostle Ernest L. Lawton, Statesboro, GA; one brother, Silas Hutley, Jr., Register, GA; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Lena H. Brazil , Metter, GA, Edith Hutley, Statesboro, GA and Micki and James Palmer , Register, GA; one uncle and his wife, Willie S. and Maggie Tapley , Medfort, NY; one aunt, Willie Bell Best , Rochester,NY; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
