Mr. Milton Parrish, Sr. was born August 28, 1960 in Metter, Georgia to the late Gerald and Ollie Mae Parrish. He attended the public schools of Candler County and was a graduate of the Metter High School class of 1978.
Milton spent most of his adult life in Brunswick, Georgia. He was an adventurous person, with a love for hunting, fishing and exploring nature. However, he often expressed his passion for art through his many drawings and paintings.
Milton was a jack of all trades, a true handyman. He specialized in landscaping.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Stine Parrish.
Milton was a father, a brother, a grandfather, a friend and a child of God.
He leaves to cherish precious memories: five children, Milton Parrish, Jr. (Monica), Britney Mitich (Carl), Damien Parrish (Shena), Vincent Florence, and Brandon Florence all of St. Petersburg, Florida; four sisters, Annie Saunders (Dudley), Lynn Parrish, Kim Parrish and Marge Parrish all of Brunswick, Georgia; two aunts, Joyce Parrish and Sara Phillips both of Metter, Georgia; three uncles, Lonnie Parrish (Mildred) of Detroit, Michigan, James Mincey (Arva) of Kennesaw, Georgia and John Parrish (Wanda) of Statesboro, Georgia; nineteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
The Staff of Whitaker Funeral Home is honored to support and serve the Parrish family with Dignity, Respect and Integrity.
