The Beginning
Maurice Von Middleton affectionately known as “Mo” or “Snoop” was born on December 15, 1972, in Tallahassee, Florida to the union of Vannie Delores McCray and Samuel Middleton.
Spiritual Walk
Maurice accepted Christ at an early age while attending Second St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the youth choir, Sunday school and Boy Scouts of America.
Educational and Work Experience
He was educated in the Savannah Chatham County Public System and graduated from Windsor Forest High School. During middle school, he played basketball for the local YMCA and Castle Heights Academy. He attended Savannah State College (now Savannah State University). Upon relocating to Statesboro, Georgia he was employed by the Statesboro Boys and Girls Club and various local businesses.
Preceded in Death
Maurice was preceded in death by his beloved father, Samuel Middleton, maternal grandparents, Bernice Love and Daniel McCray, Sr., paternal grandmother, Christina Middleton.
Cherished Memories
Maurice had a passion for cooking and eating. However, his main passion was fishing. On any given day when Maurice had free time, he could be found casting his rod in a creek or pond.
