Mrs. Martha Ann Banner Williams was born February 11, 1949 to Izell Banner and Lula Belle Brown Banner in Millen, Georgia. She attended the Jenkins County Public Schools until the 10th grade, at which time she withdrew to assist her mother and grandmother with the care of the family.
Later in life she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. She gained employment at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation and retired from Pleasant View Nursing Center after many years.
In her leisure time, Martha enjoyed fishing, gardening and shopping. Her hobbies also included raising koi fish. She loved being surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Simmie Jackson; two sisters, Ollie Mae Collins and Johnnie Lee Gainer. On Saturday, October 12, 2024, she peacefully entered eternal rest.
She leaves to honor her legacy; three children, Charlese Mason, Belinda Williams (Antonio), Larry Williams, Jr. (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Dustin Lawrence (Kimberly), Arielle Young (Christopher), Destiney (Birket) Kennedy, Larry Williams, III, Tyler Walker and Dylan Williams; eight great-grandchildren, Adelynn Lawrence, Emily Lawrence, Ja’Mari Williams, Zailee Kennedy, Mason Walker, Layla Williams, Izhabella Lawrence and Khadynn Williams; one brother, Dexter Banner( Loreatha); one sister, Rose Williams and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
