Marilyn Denise Nelson

Marilyn Denise Nelson was born March 2, 1967 in Charlottesville, Va., to Albert Nelson, Sr., and Lear Mae Williams Nelson. She passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2017 at Augusta Memorial Hospital in Augusta, Ga.

Marilyn was educated in Louisa County, Virginia, and graduated from Louisa County High School.  Marilyn moved to Georgia in 1987, and resided in Metter and surrounding counties. She was a daughter, sister, auntie, and always a very loving person.

At an early age she joined St. John Baptist Church, and sang in the Junior Choir. When she moved to Metter she attended St. Luke Methodist Church and surrounding churches. Marilyn had a love for God, her family, and friends that was beyond measure.

She is preceded in death by her father, Albert A. Nelson, Sr., and her sister Melinda Nelson.

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories, her loving mother, Lear Mae Nelson, Metter, GA; one sister, Patricia Nelson Hobbs, Metter, GA; one brother,  Albert A. Nelson Jr.,  Metter, GA;  three nieces; Jazzman Nelson, Zariah Hobbs both of Metter,GA and Destiny Foreman, Twin City, GA;  two great-nieces, A’Nalya and Aaliyah Lee, Metter, GA;  and a host of cousins and friends.
