Margie Fae Parrish Andrews was born January 6, 1934, to the late Mr. Lester T. and Tera Suggs Parrish in Bulloch County, Georgia.
Margie received her education in the Candler County School system and went on to be a professional homemaker and Environmental Engineer servicing many families in Swainsboro, Georgia. Amidst her career she was a prolific speaker and community activist with a love for human servitude.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Mr. Daniel Andrews, Sr. Their love resulted in three children, Debra Andrews Thomas, Augusta, GA, Daniel Andrews, Jr., Swainsboro, GA, and Anthony Lamont (Laurie) Andrews, Jacksonville, NC.
She joined the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at a young age and served faithfully until shortly before her death. She sang in the choir, was a member of the PPR Committee and President of the Kitchen Committee and United Methodist Women.
She leaves a legacy of seven grandchildren, Patricia (Dayton) Raymond, Aiken, SC, Alicia (Mario) Bloomfield, Clarksburg, MD, Anthony Andrews, Daniel Andrews, III, Breanna Andrews all of Jacksonville, NC, and Gabrianna and Brendan Andrews of Rockville, MD; six great grandchildren, Dayton Raymond, Jr., Kylee Raymond and Caleb Raymond of Aiken, SC, Makai Shaw, Alaya Andrews, Jacksonville, NC, and Evin Bloomfield, Clarksburg, MD; one brother, Mr. Luie (Francine) Parrish, Ridge, NY; five sisters, Ms. Carol Smith, Marion, NY, Mrs. Patricia (Wilbert) Bellard, Macon, GA, Ms. Gwendolyn Rogers, Riverdale, GA, Mrs. Vivian (David) Scott, New York, NY, and Mrs. Margaret (Curtis) Tillman, Atlanta, GA; two sister's-in-law, Mrs. Josephine C. Parrish, Pulaski, GA, and Ms. Sarah Andrews, Cincinnati, OH; one brother-in-law, Mr. Samuel (Deborah) Andrews, Hephzibah, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
