Lenton Deloach was born March 29, 1935, in Register, Georgia to the late Ben and Melrose Deloach. He peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
Lenton, affectionately known as “Len”, was an all-around outdoorsman. He loved hunting, lawncare, gardening, and his all-time favorite… FISHING! Lenton was a truck driver for most of his life and all his sons followed in his footsteps. He retired from that to start Deloach & Sons Lawn Care and he kept that going until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margret Deloach, second wife, Mary Deloach; one son, Michael (Tony) Deloach; four brothers, James, Wallice, Walter, and Rabbit; two sisters, Ruby and Eloise.
He leaves to cherish many memories; five sons, Edward (Maime) Deloach, Swainsboro, GA, John (Yolanda) Deloach and Terry (Brenda) Deloach both of Metter, GA, Lenton Deloach and Jerrial (Gwen) Deloach both of Garfield, GA; three daughters, Loretta (Larry) Byrd, Linda (Kirby) Allen, and Kageria Deloach all of Metter, GA; two brothers, Ben Deloach, Jacksonville, FL and Darnell Smith, Portal, GA; a very special friend, Shirley Larry, Pulaski, GA; five brothers-in-law, James Mikell III, Leroy Sapp and Larry Sapp of Twin City, GA, Willie James Sapp, Millen, GA, and Robbie Lee Rock, Register, GA; eleven sisters-in-law, Barbara Anne Mikell, Maxine Mikell both of Aline, GA, Della Mae Mercer, Cobbtown, GA, Nellie Mae Coney, Twin City, GA, Doris Ella Lane, Portal, GA, Mozelle Mosley and Bertha Brown of Twin City, GA, Irene Walker, Metter, GA, Jenny Newkirt, Millen, GA, Sherry Brett, Augusta, GA, and Gladys Gibbons, Swainsboro, GA; thirty-seven grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
