Mr. Lawrence "Teddy" Holloway was born on September 25, 1951 to the late Charlie Holloway and Willie Mae Holloway in Savannah, Georgia.
He received his early education in the Chatham County Public School System and was a graduate of Beach High School in Savannah. Georgia.
After having lived most of his life in Savannah, Teddy moved to Baxley, Georgia in 2014. He was employed as a truck driver for over 40 years until retiring due to health reasons.
Teddy cherished his family and was deeply devoted to them. He was known for his protective nature and unwavering support, always making time to travel locally to attend Holloway family reunions. Family gatherings brought him great joy, and he valued the connects that kept everyone close.
On Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the age of 74, Teddy transitioned from this life, at his residence in Baxley, Georgia.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ethel "Ponci" Wright, Melvin James Holloway, Willie Pearl Phillips, and Carrie Newkirk; one son, Clarence Guillory.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted sister, whose care for her brother reflected that of a mother, Mary Etta White of Baxley, GA; seven sons, Reginald Holloway, Lawrence Guillory, Germaine Holloway, Willie Cooper, Reggie Cooper all of Savannah, GA and Tony Cooper of Atlanta, GA; four daughters, Arnitra Holloway-Stiles, Teasha Jones, Alesha Cooper and Sherrill Cooper all of Savannah; his best friends, Geno and Whitehead, a loving companion, Alethia Cooper and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins , other relatives and friends.
