Lawanda LaShanda Wilson

Lawanda LaShanda Wilson was born March 5, 1973 in Candler County, Georgia to Leonard Coney, Sr., and the late Lonnie Mae Ellis. She departed this life Monday, April 27, 2015.

Lawanda graduated from Metter High School, class of 1993. She became a Certified Nursing Assistant where she spent more than fourteen years working with the elderly and taking care of them.

She is survived by seven children; Juwan (Valerie) Wilson of North Carolina, Ja’Kevia Smiley, Jazmiyun Wilson, Jadaquez Wilson, Ron`eisha Wilson, Jadarien Wilson and Ron`yae Wilson, all of Metter, Georgia; two grandchildren, Romeo and Rhemy Wilson, both of North Carolina; five sisters, Barbara Wilson (Rodney Parrish) and Wendy Wilson (David Wright) of Metter, Georgia, Deidra Matthew and Sonya Coney of Swainsboro, Georgia and Glenda Coney of Garfield, Georgia; three brothers, Jebori Wilson, Andre Desir and Leonard Coney, Jr. all of Metter, Georgia; several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, two special cousins, Johnnie Mae Byrd and Catina Carlyle and two very special friends, Tasha Parker and Mazie Williams of Metter, Georgia.
