Kevin Lynn (Timmy) Rutherford, Sr.

Kevin Lynn (Timmy) Rutherford was born April 1, 1958 in Albany, NY.  As an infant, Henry and Mary Pierson took him in their care as their own.  Shortly afterwards, he came to Georgia where he became a resident.  He departed this life Saturday June12, 2021.

Kevin received his education in the Candler County School system and then later attended truck driving school in McDonough Georgia where he received his CLD certification to become a truck driver. Upon graduation he drove trucks for several different companies locally as well as nationwide.  He drove truck as his occupation until his health begin to fail.

At an early age, joined Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and married is first wife Maxine Dunlap. He found a great deal of enjoyment in his sports cars, motorcycles and fishing.  Later in life he married his soulmate the late Gwendolyn M. Hill.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Pierson, Mary P. Thomas, step-father Bernard Thomas and one son Willie LeCue.

He will leave to cherish his memory two sons, Timothy DaMont Rutherford(Melissa) and Barry Lynn Rutherford both of Metter Ga.  A host of grandchildren, one aunt Josephine C. Parrish and her children John (Remona) Parrish, Woodstock MD, Michael (Debbie) Campbell, Pavo GA, Michelle Hayes, Chapel Hill NC, Donna (Kennis) Kennedy, Metter GA and Gina (Mark) Henderson, Johnson City TN., one brother-in-law Derek Mobley, one step son Travis Hill and one step daughter Tonia Ricks and two very dear friends Willene Wilkerson and Alberta Banner and a host of relatives and friends.
