Kenyel Butler Obituary

Ms. Kenyel Shakina Butler was born August 26, 1992, to Ricardo Butler and Melissa Lewis in Statesboro, Georgia. She was educated in the public schools of Candler County, Georgia and graduated from Metter High School class of 2011. After graduation Kenyel made her home in Statesboro, GA. She was employed as a group home attendant for Pineland Behavioral Health and as a caregiver at All Ways Caring Home Care.

On Thursday, January 13, 2022, an angel of mercy slipped into her room at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, GA and led her spirit away from all pain and suffering. She will always be remembered for her bubbly personality and pretty deep dimples.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her paternal grandmother, Joyce Bostic Williams, and her maternal grandfather, James Whitfield, Jr.

Kenyel leaves to cherish many great memories: her father and step-mother, Ricardo and Tiffany Butler of Metter, GA; five siblings, Timothy Travet of Atlanta, GA, Rikhia Butler, Bridget Rich and Ricardo Rich all of Metter, GA, Tamara Andrews of Cumming, GA; her grandfathers, Gilbert Butler of Swainsboro, GA and Curmit Williams, Sr. of Keysville, GA; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Lewis Hannah of Metter, Ga; three great aunts, Bridget Lewis Whitaker of Metter, GA, Janell (Johnny) Keller of Brooklet, GA and Mamie Humphries of Statesboro, GA; three great uncles, Efram Todd Donaldson of Metter, GA, Jerry (Teresa) Whitfield of Sylvania, GA and Ricky Whitfield of Brooklet, GA; six aunts, Curmika Williams of Claxton, GA, Curmelia (Sylvester) Wadley of Statesboro, GA, Lula M. Coppock of Swainsboro, GA, Katheasa (Vincent) Hill of Orlando, FL, Tori Whitfield and Lisa Whitfield both of Bridgeport, CT; five uncles, Joseph (Cynthia) Williams of Warrenton, VA, Tony (Pocahontas) Williams of Augusta, GA, Terrance (Shanell) Cuthbert of Richmond Hill, GA, Kareen (Lynette) Williams of Savannah, GA, and Curmit Williams, Jr. of Statesboro, GA, several other relatives, co-workers, and friends who loved her dearly. Everyone knew their place in her heart.
