Mr. Kencerio Deontae Walker was born December 5, 2007 to Mr. James Kenneth and Mrs. Carilena Walker in Statesboro, Georgia. Kencerio's life on Earth ended Saturday, May 23, 2026 due to injuries sustained in a tragic accident in Waynesboro, Georgia.
Kencerio was a joy and treasure to his family. Having lost his mother several years ago, he had a very strong bond with his father. Learning from his father that working and having a job is essential to life, he gained employment at Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen in Swainsboro.
On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Deontae graduated, with honors, from Swainsboro High School, having maintained an overall academic average of 90 or above throughout his high school career. He was also recognized at the school's Honor's Day program for having completed the Culinary Arts Pathway and for having donated more than three units of blood at the school blood drives over the last year. Deontae had aspirations of continuing his education in the field of nursing and eventually becoming a registered nurse.
Deontae was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ . He served the Lord and worshipped at JESUS SAVES Church in Swainsboro, where he was an active member of the youth group. He also worshipped with his father at the First Baptist Church Stillmore. He was a witness for Christ and an inspiration to many young people in his community.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories: four sisters, Ja'dasha Williams of Claxton, GA, Latoya Walker, Shardee Walker, and Kendra Walker all of Metter, GA;one brother, Tyler Walker of Swainsboro, GA; a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Please Note: The funeral service for the Walkers will be held at the Swainsboro High School Auditorium instead of the Swainsboro High School Gymnasium. Thank you for your continued prayers and support for this family.
