Keith Leonard Carter, Jr. was born in Statesboro, Georgia on June 12, 1981, to Elitha Butler and Keith Carter, Sr. Keith grew up in Savannah, Ga and attended Beach High School. With an outstanding work ethic and an entrepreneur spirit, Keith started his own trucking business, K Carter Transport LLC. It was his desire to leave a legacy for his children.
He was a quiet person who had great love for his family. He was an “intentional” father who spent as much time as possible with his children.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, DaMiya Carter; one brother, Deron Butler; and three grandfathers, Raymond Holloway, Wilbert Holland, and Ravanell Lang, one grandmother, Doris Carter and one nephew; TreJuan Byrd. Keith died unexpectedly Monday, March 27, 2023.
Keith leaves to mourn his passing, five children; Nakeria, Treasure, Talasia, Keyonni and Keshon; his mother, Elitha (Kelvin) Lang; his father, Keith (Joretha) Carter, Sr.; seven siblings, Reba Butler, Zymenia Butler (Mario) McGill, Kelvin (Heather) Lang, Sydney Jackson, Deshawn Carter, Cassandra Elmore and William Moore; two grandmothers, Ella Holloway and Sarah Lang; nieces and nephews, Michael Smith, Isaiah Osborne, Eric Coleman, Jr., Deshawn Butler, Yadejiha Butler, Faith Butler and Christiana Lang and many other relatives and friends.
