Katherine Mosley Riley

Mrs. Katherine Mosley Riley was born on June 21, 1949 in New York, New York to Mr. Cleo and Mrs. Julia Smith Mosley.  In the early morning of June 15, 2026, in Warner Robins, Georgia, God called his daughter, Katherine, home at the age of 76.

Katherine's early education began in the public schools of New York City and she attended Benjamin Franklin High School in Manhattan. In the late 1960s, Katherine was joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Jerome Riley.  During this loving union, they were blessed with their only child, Shanea. She was the highlight of her mother's life.

In the 1990s she relocated to Soperton, Georgia where her mother lived.  Years later, she moved to Houston County, Georgia where she completed nursing school and received her LPN license. She worked various jobs in the healthcare field and lived a great life doing what she enjoyed.

Katherine was a funny, artistic, caring individual who loved God and people.  Those who really knew her loved her and enjoyed her interesting conversations.  She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, traveling and reading her Bible.  She was known to share a favorite scripture or two with others.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Julia Mosley; her husband, Jerome Riley and her two brothers, Kenneth Moseley and Tyrone Cray.

Katherine leaves to cherish precious memories: her daughter, Shanea Gainer; two grandsons, Decorio Gainer and Javarre Gainer; one brother-in-law, Robert Riley; one sister-in-law, Adlene Mosley; five nieces, Valerie Noble, Kendra Moseley, Kennetha Woods, Latrice Shivers and Danielle Griffith; three nephews, Tyrone Cray, Kenneth Moseley, Jr., and Saquan Moseley; her spiritual mother, Katrina Fluellen and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
