Joshua Parrish was born on May 29, 1954 to the late Fannie Mae and Evan James Parrish of Metter, Georgia. He departed this life on January 11, 2015.

Joshua was a member of the church at an early age and joined the First Baptist Church of Stillmore, Georgia. Later in his life, he joined the Metter United Methodist Church.
His formal education was received in the Candler County School System where he was a 1972 graduate of Metter High School of Metter, Georgia. After high school, he would later go on to receive an Associate’s Degree from South Georgia College of Douglas, Georgia, a Bachelor’s Degree from Valdosta State University of Valdosta, Georgia and finally a Master’s of Art Education at Georgia Southern University of Statesboro, Georgia.

Joshua served in the United States Army, serving most of his time in Germany where he would continue to develop his love and passion for the Arts. His work can be found in many places across the globe that allowed him to develop an artistic following.
After returning to the United States, he decided to return to education and taught in the Bulloch County School System where he touched the lives of many students teaching over 20 years. He loved to see children create and discover talents they never knew they had.
After deciding to leave the Bulloch County School System, he would go into business for himself as a real estate manager owning multiple rental properties where he would continue to use his artistic experience developing properties.
