Jerry Wilkerson

Mr. Jerry Wilkerson was born on June 18, 1947 to Mr. Gus Moore Wilkerson and Mrs. Lottie Campbell Wilkerson in Candler County, Georgia. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 after a brief illness. Mr. Wilkerson attended the public schools of Candler County and he lived in and around Metter, Georgia his entire life.

Jerry was loved by his family and many friends; he always had a winning smile. He was a free spirit who loved being with his family and friends, especially at cookout-eating, dancing and having good clean fun. He worked most of his life at Cal-Maine Feeds in Metter.

Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two sisters, Gussie Wilkerson Strange and Evelyn Wilkerson Collins; four brothers, Robert Louis Wilkerson, Willie James Wilkerson, Jeff Wilkerson and Jessie Wilkerson.

He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, one brother, Nathan Wilkerson of Metter, GA; two sisters, Mary Faye Wilkerson Wilson of Atlanta, GA and Linda Sue Wilkerson Burroughs of Metter, GA; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
