Jeron Smith

Mr. Jeron Smith was born November 21, 1936 to Lee Smith and Annie Mincey in Candler County, Georgia. He passed away on April 30, 2016.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with the Georgia Department of Transportation. After retirement, Jeron was employed part time with Farmers Furniture. He enjoyed fishing, being a handy man, and spending time with his wife and grandchildren.

He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1988.

Jeron is preceded in death by his father, Lee Smith, his mother, Annie Mincey, and one son, Ronald Smith.

He leaves his loving wife of fifty three years, Rebecca Mason Smith, Metter, GA; seven children five boys and two girls with two that he raised, Lennie Mason Boykin, Cobbtown GA; Robert (Deborah) Mason, Macon, GA; Wesley (Wanda) Smith, Cincinnati, OH; Patrick (Letha) Smith, Americus, GA; John Smith and Kelvin (Deborah) Smith, both of Metter, GA; Tabitha (Willie) Jones, Jacksonville, FL; Travis (Nikita) Boykin, Savannah, GA; and Twyla (Travis) Burton, Killeen, TX; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two brothers, Lee Smith, Jr., Alexandria, VA; Walter Lee (Pam) Smith, Metter, GA; one sister, Daisy Mack, Metter, GA; one sister in law, Roberta Holland, Cobbtown, GA; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
