Jearlene Boykin Edenfield was born to Essie Boy “EB” Boykin and Dorothy Mercer Boykin on November 18, 1956 in Metter, Georgia. She departed from this life on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Jearlene attended the public schools of Candler County, Georgia. She was employed in the food industry for many years.
She was an avid shopper but mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
On December 18, 1989, she married the love of her life, Freddie Edenfield.
Jearlene was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Joyce Boykin, Y’vonne Boykin and Linda Harris.
She leaves to cherish many memories, her husband, Freddie Edenfield; one son, Christopher Boykin (Nicole); one stepson, Freddie Edenfield, Jr.; one stepdaughter, LaToria Fultcher; one brother, Willie James Boykin; one sister, Earlene Hobbs (Lawrence); eight grandchildren, Erin Boykin Baker, Brandon Searcy, Christopher Boykin, Jr., Christa Boykin Mainer (Tony), Jada Boykin, Tyrese Young, Lathan Boykin and Ni’ Aire Boykin; nine great grandchildren, Nevaeh Baker, Dakodah Searcy, Unique Boykin, Christian Boykin, Harmony Searcy, Cameron Mainer, Caden Boykin, Dream Searcy and Lila Searcy; one special great-niece, Ericka “Boobie” Smith; two special friends, Tosha Ferguson and Veronica Gainer Wright, and a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
