James Adam Mincey was born January 25, 1971 in Metter, Georgia to Mr. Willie Gene (Bill) and Janie Mae Mincey. On Monday, July 31, 2023 the Lord called him home. James attended the public school in Metter, Georgia and was a graduate of the Metter High School class of 1990. James moved to New Jersey after completing high school. There he worked at Morristown Medical Center for 33 years.
James is preceded in death by his father, Willie Gene (Bill) Mincey, two brothers, Thimuel Holland, Sr. and Robert Marvet Mincey and one sister, Carolyn Gordon.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother, Janie Mae Mincey, Metter, GA; six brothers, Jerry Mincey (Marva), Blakeley, GA, Ricky Mincey and Billy Mincey (Marcy) both of Morristown, NJ and Willie Earl Mincey of Cincinnati, OH, and Keith Lanier, Metter, GA; six sisters, Janice Lanier, Atlanta, GA, Peggy McCollum (Jimmy), Metter, GA, Michelle Sutton (Michael), Debra Hobbs, Phyllis Lemon (Joe), Debra Bacon (Charles) all of Statesboro, GA; two aunts, Ella Holloway, Metter, GA and Leola Phillips, Miami, FL; three best friends, Brice Hobbs, Cornelius Dekle and Kevin Smith all of Metter, GA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
