Jamay Milledge-Walker was born January 18, 1985 in Augusta, Georgia to Diane Milledge and Randall Hughes.  She lived her entire life in and around Candler County, Georgia.  She attended the public schools of Candler County and she was a member of the Metter High School graduating class of 2003.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Stillmore, Georgia.
During her teen years, Jamay had a tremendous passion for cheering.  She was a member of the Metter High School Cheering Squad for her entire four years of high school.
Jamay enjoyed beauty pageants as much as she had enjoyed cheerleading in high school.    She was mother to two beautiful little girls.  They were her princesses.  Although the youngest, Addison was not old enough to participate in beauty pageants, her elder sister, Haley, was.   Jamay and Haley traveled all across the state of Georgia, participating in pageants. This was a wonderful and rewarding experience for both mother and daughter.
Like her mother, Diane, Jamay had a great love and desire to help people. She began her work career in human resources and later moved into the medical field as a medical records clerk.  She was employed at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, Georgia for several years.  Last  year, she left her position there to help the citizens of Georgia understand and obtain affordable health insurance.  She was   employed by Insure Georgia.  In December of 2014, she was recognized by the company in the Navigator’s Spotlight for outstanding service.  Her work area included seventeen counties where she worked tirelessly assisting citizens with insurance needs.
Jamay was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Milledge, her father, Randall Hughes, her grandparents,  Otis and Essie Mae Mincey, her great grandparents, Dorsey and Emma Mincey and Lear Newkirk; her niece, Dashiana Nykerria Milledge;  her aunt Camilla Lynn Harden, her cousins, Mechelle Harden and Paisley Winkler.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters, Haley and Addison Walker of Metter, GA;  two brothers and one sister-in-law, Donald, Jr. and Lakiska  Milledge of McDonough, GA and Thomas L. Patterson of Metter, GA;  her special friend, Reginald Littlejohn;  a host of aunts, uncles, cousins,  other family and friends.
