Fannie Pearl Donaldson “Fannie” was born on November 11, 1932, to Alice Harper Strange and William Strange, Sr. Fannie entered eternal rest on the morning of May 12, 2025, at the age of 92. She resided in Metter, Georgia and was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Donaldson; son, Willie Claude Donaldson; daughter, Annie L. Byrd; grandson, Coy Lee Donaldson; sisters, Swannie Strange and Etta Strange; and brothers, James Strange, Ernest Strange, and William Strange.
Fannie was educated through the 4th grade in the Candler County School System, Metter, Georgia. Fannie was a retired housekeeper at Metter Nursing Home (Azalea Health and Rehabilitation). She enjoyed gardening, fishing, people-watching, and spending time with her family. Fannie was a member of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church where she faithfully attended for over 20 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her grandsons, Patrick (Sheila) Donaldson of Bloomingdale, Georgia, Kortney (Ladona) Wright of Metter, Georgia, Christopher Donaldson of Bloomingdale, Georgia; granddaughters, Tiffany (Brian) Gerardi of Washingtonville, New York; and great-grandchildren, Coy Donaldson, Jr. (Ace) and Nakia Donaldson both of Metter, Georgia, Danielle (Patrick) Bennett of Columbia, South Carolina, Jackson, James, and Jonathan Gerardi of Washingtonville, New York; great-great grandchildren, Coy Donaldson, Jr. (CJ), Corey Donaldson, Carter Donaldson, Cali Donaldson, Shacoyia Smart, Layla Oglesby all of Metter, Georgia, Sage Donaldson of Metter, Georgia, Jason and Jade Bennett of Columbia, South Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
