Deacon Ennis Warner was born March 2, 1953, to the late Mr. Charlie Warner Sr. and the late Mrs. Vallie Burton Warner. On Friday, May 08, 2020, Mr. Ennis Warner entered eternal rest after a brief illness at the Augusta University Medical Center.
Ennis was born and raised in Twin City, Georgia, and was educated in the Emanuel County School system. He went on to receive degrees from both Swainsboro Technical College and East Georgia College. Ennis accepted Christ at an early age and joined Willow Springs Baptist Church where he faithfully served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and Sunday School Teacher until his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents the late Charlie Warner Sr. and Vallie Burton Warner; his bonus mother Agnes Green Warner; his siblings Martha Jane McCormick, Fred Lee Warner Sr., Randolph Warner, Levi Warner, Jonathan Warner, Robert Warner, Martha Warner Roberson, and Evelyn Warner Walker.
Deacon Ennis Warner leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Mary Foy Warner of Twin City, GA; one son Mr. Christopher Ennis Warner (Shewanda) of Twin City, GA; one daughter Ms. Alesha Warner (Jesse Davis) of Statesboro, GA; one sister Mrs. Juanita (Elgia) Brown, of Atlantic Beach, FLA; two brothers Mr. Charlie Warner Jr. (Juanita) of Mulberry, FLA; and Mr. James E. Green (Cora), of Statesboro,GA.
Ennis was a loving grandfather and he is survived by six grandchildren: Sanquez Lee, Tyrone Johnson, Shanikwa Buie, Chrishalae Warner, Joshua Davis, and Jordan Davis who affectionately knew him as PaPa, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Throughout his life, Ennis held many jobs to include Argo Mills, Custom Financing Co., and Heilig-Meyers. Furniture but worked at faithfully and subsequently retired from at Farmers Furniture after more than 20 years of service. Ennis served faithfully as the adult Sunday School Teacher for the Combined Sunday School and Choir Convention. He was a humble servant, an avid fisherman, enjoyed watching movies, garage sales, collecting antiques and gardening.
