Elouise M. Bryd was born on February 25, 1932 to the late Ben and Annie Bell Mosley in Aline, Georgia. She departed this life on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Azalea Health and Rehabilitation..
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kermit P. Byrd Sr. and three brothers.
She was a member of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, Collins, GA, under the leadership of Reverend J.K. Smith.
She was the first black transporter for Head Start in Tattnall County. She loved growing flowers, and fishing.
Elouise leaves to cherish her memory, six children, Emma Dean (Buster) Gilghrest, Hattie Mae (Willie Earl) Williams both of Cobbtown, Ga. Vernice Mosley and Annie Lois (Franklin) Moore of Metter, Ga. Theodore Byrd (special friend Margie Blake) of Collins, Ga. Shelia (Otto) Lewis of Statesboro, Ga.; two step-children, Ronnie Byrd, and Audrey Weeks; one sister, Barbara Jackson of Leesburg, Fl, and a special cousin Christine Tillman of Reidsville, Ga. 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 28 great great-grandchildren; two special daughters, Dorothy Rhynes, and Latrelle Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
