Elijah Moody, 72, of Twin City passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, GA. He was born in Bulloch County to Juanita Collins and Fleming Moody, Sr. He attended the public schools of Bulloch and Emanuel Counties.
In 1970, he married the former Katherine Monroe. He was a member of Newton Grove Baptist Church. In 1972, he started a landscaping and cleaning business that he successfully ran for 38 years.
Elijah was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Andrea Moody and Veronica Moody; a grandchild, Ricky Lee; two sisters, Ruby Joe Williams and Gloria Washington; two brothers, Fleming Moody, Jr. and Plaza Moody.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Katherine Moody; two children: Angela Moody Howard (Willie) of Clyo and Regenia Benson (Thomas) of Mobile, AL; five grandchildren: Angelica Moody, Elijah Jones, Rhikanna McMillan (Tychon), Laila Jones and Richard Lee all of Twin City; five great grandchildren: A’jlah Nobles, Justin Nobles, Jr., Makalyn Moody, Brycen Moody and Embrii Moody; three sisters, Carolyn George and Catherine Gidden both of Twin City, Georgia, Jewel LaCue of Augusta. Georgia; two brothers, Issac Moody (Laura) of Delray Beach, FL, Kennedy LaCue (Veronica) of Twin City, Georgia; a host of nephews and nieces.
