Earlene Johnson was born April 22, 1939 to the late George Johnson and Alberta Hector Johnson in Candler County, Georgia. She passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021.
She attended the public schools of Candler County. She worked various jobs to include Jay Dees Sportswear, Cal Maine, Metter Nursing Home (Dietary) and Candler County Hospital (Dietary).
She joined the Thankful Baptist Church of Stillmore, Georgia at an early age and later moved her membership the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church in Metter, Georgia, where she served as Mission Treasurer and on the Mother Board.
Earlene was a member of the Cherokee Rose Garden Club, and Georgia Association of Garden Clubs, Inc. She had a great love for sports and enjoyed attending the Metter Tiger Football games and a few Atlanta Braves Games
She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish fond memories: one daughter, Ava Hendrix (Barwick); three sons, Robert Doyle, Michael Johnson and Gary Johnson, all of Metter, Georgia; three brothers, Harold Johnson (Judy) and Jerry Johnson of Metter, Georgia, and Edward Johnson (Linda) of Savannah, Georgia; one uncle, Judge Johnson of Kingsland, GA; nine grand-children, seven great-grand children, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
