Dyann Dekle Obituary

Dyann A. Dekle was born July 22, 1949 to the late Anna Parrish Roberson and the late Richard Roberson in Candler County, Georgia. She attended Byrd Junior High School and the public schools of Candler County, Georgia. She was a lifelong resident of Metter, Candler County, Georgia. On September 2, 1968 she was joined in holy matrimony to William T. Dekle. She was a loving wife and mother. She took care of others and was always willing to do all she could for any and everyone in need. 

Dyann was a blessing to many. As a certified nursing assistant, over several years, she provided healthcare for individuals in Candler County through home healthcare services, local nursing homes and for more than fifteen years, she was an employee of Candler County Hospital.

Dyann became a Christian at an early age. She was a faithful member of Thankful Baptist Church, Metter, GA and later moved to her membership to Tremont Temple Baptist Church, Metter, GA where she served faithfully for many years. In the last few years of her life, she attended First Baptist Church of Stillmore, GA.

She was preceded in death by her loving son, Anthony Dekle; her brother and his wife, Bobby and Carrie Roberson; two sisters and their husbands, Minnie Mae and Son Reed, Queen and Larry Harris.

Dyann leaves fond memories to be cherished by, her husband, William T. Dekle; three daughters and two sons-in-law; Sheila and Stanley Crawford, Cherbe and Wedgley Holloway and Jessica Dekle; two whom she raised, Courtney Prigeon (Alexis) and Stanley Williams; one daughter-in-law, Karen Dekle; fourteen grandchildren, to include whom she helped raise, Wesley Holloway, Whitney Holloway, Dexter Holloway, Robert Mincey, Kelly Roberson (Chris), Kimberly Newton, Anthony Dekle, Jr., and William T. Dekle; all her grandchildren touched her heart and had a special place in her heart; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two special sisters, Ann Brewton and B.J. Phillips.
