Dera Keith Williams

Dera Keith William was born July 3, 1957 to Thomas Williams, Jr, and Zodie Williams. He grew up with his four siblings in Detroit, Michigan.

Keith attended the public schools of Detroit after which he gained employment with General Motors Corporation. He was proud of his fourteen year tenure at General Motors. 

In 1999, he relocated from Detroit, Michigan to Metter, Georgia. He enjoyed being reunited with his uncles, aunts and cousins and living near his mother, Zodie. He found the slow and easy pace of Southeast Georgia much to his liking.

Keith was a well – dressed man with a penchant for fine jewelry. He enjoyed spending time with family, eating good food, listening to music, dancing and playing pool. Those who were close to him knew that he was smart, kind, caring and generous. 

He leaves to cherish fond memories; his mother, Zodie Babcock; his sisters, Margaret Warlick and Ava Bell; his brothers, Thomas and Gregory Williams; his brother-in-law, NyKrum Bell; uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Keith was loved by all who knew him. He passed away on August 3, 2016.
