Cecil Grady Woods

Cecil Grady Woods was born October 29, 1935, in Metter, Georgia, to the late Luther Woods and Edith Dekle. He was called to his heavenly home on Friday, July 30, 2015.

At an early age, Cecil was baptized and became a member of First Baptist Church of Stillmore, Georgia. He received his education in the public schools of Candler, County, Georgia and Emanuel County, Georgia. Cecil was married to the late Mae Cola Freeman and to this union they had four loving children. Later in life, Cecil married Ola Mae Hughes Williams. 

Cecil was known to be a great provider for his family. For many years he was a trucker and logger for Louisiana Pacific, Statesboro, Georgia.

He is preceded in death by three children, one grandson and six step children.

He leaves to cherish precious memories; his loving wife, Ola Mae Woods, Metter, Georgia; one daughter, Sylvia (Bud) Holmes, Stillmore, Georgia; one step son, Robert Lee (Virginia) Williams, Jr., Metter, Georgia; three brothers, Floyd (Cephia Dell) Woods, Orlando, Florida, Johnny Woods, Nashville, Tennessee and Billy Woods, Midway, Georgia; three sisters, Mattie (Will) Burton, Centon, Ohio, Sallie Mae (George) Durden, Miami, Florida and Lutchie (Chris) Ramgoolan, Miami, Florida; four step sister, Nanie (David) Glover, Panama City, Florida, Eddie Dean Allen, Marie Allen and Inez Allen all of Stillmore, Georgia,  two aunts, Mary Durden, Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Juanita Mincey, New York, New York; one great grandson, a host of step grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
