Catrina Ellis Hampton

Catrina Ellis Hampton was born on January 20, 1958 in Candler County, Georgia to the late Mr. Josh W. and Anna Atteberry Ellis. She entered eternal rest on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center.

She was a graduate of the Metter High School class of 1976. She attended Savannah State College “University”. Catrina joined the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge in 1985. She was employed, as a custodian for over ten (10) years, with St. Joseph’s / Candler Medical Group in Metter, GA. She had a great love for her fishing and tending her garden but mostly, for her family.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her only son, Mr. Duran E. Hampton of Metter GA; one loving sister, Mrs. Theresa (Willie Lee) Williams of Metter GA; three brothers, Mr. Alton (Janet) Ellis and Mr. Carl Lee Ellis both of Metter GA, and Mr. Hallery L. (Miranda) Ellis of Phoenix AZ; two favorite nieces, Mrs. Roberta (Michael) Nelson and Ms. Zamora Brown; one favorite nephew; Mr. Gregory Carswell; her best friend; Mrs. Mae F. Wells; special friend; Ms. Lila Rawls; a godmother Mrs. Sallie Ellis, and several other loving family members and friends.
