Carl Lee Ellis

Carl Lee Ellis was born  January 2, 1961 in Swainsboro, Georgia, to Josh W. and Anna Atterberry Ellis. He entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Hospice Savannah, Inc., Savannah, Georgia.

He attended school in Metter, Georgia. For many years, he worked for Louisiana Pacific Lumber Company, Statesboro, Georgia. Carl Lee also helped many farmers with work until he retired. In his spare time, he loved fishing, tending to his sugar cane but mostly spending time with his family.

Carl Lee was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Willie James Ellis, Robert Ellis and Catrina Ellis Hampton.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one sister, Theresa (Willie Lee) Williams of Metter, GA; two brothers, Alton E. Ellis, Sr. of Metter, GA and Hallery L. (Miranda) Ellis of Phoenix, AZ; a special niece and caregiver, Roberta (Michael) Nelson of Metter, GA and several loving nephews, nieces, cousins, a goddaughter and friends.
