Ms. Bessie Lee Cheley was born on December 18, 1984 in Richmond County, Georgia to the late Larry Lee Cheley and Mae Frances Carlton.  On May 6, 2026 she passed away at the age of 41.
Bessie attended the public schools of Candler County, Georgia and graduated in 2003.  She did further study on line toward a degree in Business Administration through Colorado Technical University.

Bessie enjoyed spending time with her children, telling jokes, cooking dishes that always contained eggs, and learning new things.  She loved being with family and friends, playing card games and watching You Tube reels. Although her spirit has departed this Earth, her love and memories will remain in our hearts forever.  Bessie was a  beautiful soul whose love will echo through generations.

Along with her parents, Bessie was preceded in death by her sister, Tawanda Cheley and her  brother, Larry Cheley, Jr. .  She leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters, Tyonna Cheley of Statesboro, GA, Francis Cheley and Alexandria Cheley Johnson both of Swainsboro, GA; two brothers, Christopher Lee Cheley (Betrese) of Stillmore, GA and Danny Lee Cheley (Shana)of Metter, GA; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; a Goddaughter, Tiyanah Baker and many sorrowing friends.
