Bennie Rozier was born September 14, 1936 in Bulloch County, Georgia to the late Artice Rozier and Eddie Mae Hobbs Rozier. He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in Statesboro, Georgia.
At an early age, Bennie accepted Christ and was a member Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Register, Georgia. He was a barber by trade and cut hair for many years in Statesboro, Georgia.
In 1971 he relocated to Fort Pierce, Florida. There he found employment with the Minute Maid Orange Juice Company. Desiring to continue Christian fellowship and service, Bennie joined Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce. He returned to Statesboro, Georgia in May of 2020. Bennie was an avid fisherman and considered himself to be an extremely talented and skillful fisherman. He would often claim to be “The Best in the World”!
Bennie leaves to mourn his passing and cherish fond memories: three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Hudson and Helen Rozier of Portal, GA, Kermit Rozier of Statesboro, GA and Ray Charles and Mae Rozier of Athens, GA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Artis Faye Rozier, Rosetta and Norman Brown all of Statesboro, GA and Brenda and Frank Strowbridge of Claxton, GA; several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
